Richard E. PlomedahlEau Claire, WisconsinRichard E. Plomedahl, 71, of Eau Claire, died Sunday, February 8, 2009, at his home in Eau Clair. He was born in Milwaukee, WI, on June 20, 1937, the son of Edwin and Mildred (Boehlke) Plomedahl.He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1960.Dick married Barbar J Hill on April 4, 1959, in Eau Claire.He worked as a Firefighter for the Eau Claire Fire Department from 1962 until his retirement in 1991. He loved his job as a Firefighter, helping people and serving the public.He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Eau Claire.Dick & Barbara enjoyed many summers together at their cabin on Nelson Lake near Hayward. Dick enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and many wood working projects. He was a HUGE Packer Fan and the family knew not to call during the games.Dick is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Rick (Terry) Plomedahl of Shiloh, IL; daughter, Penny (Brad) Conner of Eau Claire; his grandson, Scott (fiance`e, Kristal Day) Plomedahl of Eau Claire; his sister Shirley (David) Emberts of South Milwaukee; 2 sisters-in-law, Arlene Hill of Racine & Mary Hill of Taylor TX; and several nieces & nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, William
